Every year, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeast Michigan chooses two volunteer mentors (called ‘Bigs’) in the mentoring program, as the Bigs of the Year.

BBBS Southeast MI Sends a Big Shout Out to the Detroit Lions!
Through the very generous donation or game tickets from the Detroit Lions over 134 of our Bigs, Littles, families and friends attended the Lions vs the Jacksonville Jaguars game on August 19th! We received many thank you messages!
Demeshia and Amy
Congratulations to the very first Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeast Michigan Match of the Month, Demeshia and Amy! This duo has been matched for over 5 years and have developed a deep bond during that time.
Dereon & Kyle
Meet Dereon and Kyle, our July Match of the Month! First connected in November of 2022, this match loves being active and playing games together, especially board games.
A’Nyla & Nika
Meet our June Match of the Month, A’Nyla and Nika! This dynamic Disney loving duo are a part of our School Based Program and have been matched since December of last year.
Grace & Laurel
Meet our May match of the Month, Grace and Laurel! These two were first paired together in the Fall of 2020 and have spent the last two and a half years together exploring the area by trying new restaurants and coffee shops.
