Investing in Education and Career Readiness
Macomb Community College staff and student group leaders presented informative workshops on:
- FAFSA: Equipping Littles and their families with the knowledge to navigate the financial aid application process.
- College Readiness: Providing insights and support to ensure a smooth transition to higher education.
- Career Readiness: Exposing Littles to various career paths and fostering an early awareness of future opportunities.
Littles, along with their parent/guardians, actively participated and gained valuable knowledge.
Building Strong Partnerships
The collaborative spirit of the event was evident:
- First State Bank: Generously sponsored the event, providing a delicious taco bar lunch for everyone in attendance.
- Macomb Community College: Showcased their commitment to the community by:
- Presenting the informative workshops.
- Providing giveaways for all Littles, including those who couldn’t attend.
- Sharing contact information for their college and career centers, a valuable resource for our Littles as they explore their future paths.
- Offering handouts to be distributed at our school-based program at Pershing High School, extending the reach of the information provided.
