Tibbs and Amarion were matched in 2022. Tibbs was in her final year at Eastern Michigan University, where she was studying Aviation Business Management and participating in Army ROTC. Amarion was starting 2nd grade and playing in a junior football league.
Tibbs says, “Amarion and I have been matched for over a year now. We enjoy playing outside and exploring new experiences together!”
Tibbs and Amarion quickly bonded over their shared love of playing outside and going on adventures, from go-kart racing to visiting local fall attractions to playing at the park.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeast Michigan thanks Tibbs and all of our other veterans and those currently serving in the military for their service on this Veterans Day!
Tibbs and Amarion are a perfect example of how the Big Brother Big Sister program can create meaningful relationships that change lives. Tibbs is a positive role model for Amarion, and she’s helping him to reach his full potential. Together, they’re making a difference in each other’s lives.
Congratulations to Tibbs and Amarion on their amazing match! We’re so proud of the relationship they’ve built, and we’re excited to see what the future holds for them.
