Matched in September 2022, Christaria and Zakiya quickly bonded over their shared sense of humor. This pair LOVES attending BBBS-sponsored events, like making birdhouses, the annual picnic, and Zombie Zap; nature walks, go-karting, and going to the movies. Zakiya stays in touch with Christaria, and has helped her come out of her shell and engage more. Christaria says she is comfortable talking to Zakiya and enjoys their time together.
Zakiya says that she has fun when spending time with Christaria and she enjoys getting to see her open up. When asked to describe their perfect day, Zakiya shared, “Anytime she (Christaria) is smiling! It just warms my heart when I see she’s happy and having fun!” You can see Christaria’s smiles in the many pictures they have taken together! They are probably the BBBS selfie queens!
